Jack Haigh, 20-years-old Gainsborough Trinity inside left, who last season was playing in junior football has been signed by Liverpool. Trinity signed Haigh, a Rotherham lad, at the beginning of this season, and he has played only three games with the senior side, in all of which he has been under the observation of League club scouts.
Gainsborough were reluctant to part, especially just before the Cup-ties, but Mr. C.H. Caldicott, the hon. manager, said afterwards, that the club could not stand in Haigh’s way to a career. Liverpool have paid a fee, and Trinity will receive more cash later if Haigh makes the grade.
