The man largely responsible for the exalted position of Liverpool F.C. is Billy Liddell, their Scottish international left-winger.
Perhaps, say in twenty years’ time, Liverpool will have a Liddell on each wing. First step towards such a, for Liverpool, happy event has been made by the birth to Liddell’s wife of twin boys.
They were born in Broad Green Hospital, which is in the same district of Liverpool in which the club owns a number of houses which they rent to their players.
Mrs. Liddell and the newcomers were yesterday reported to be “doing well.”
