Key note: “Liverpool’s game proceeded on normal pre-season lines for the first half, with the seniors taking matters very comfortably and the reserves putting all their wares in the shop window. Then came the second half landslide, with Taylor, even more nonchalant than usual, bagging three goals with the ease that a housewife shells peas, and Baron, working like a trooper, getting three of more individual calibre.
