Wales may enter 1954 World Cup

Mr. Herbert Powell, secretary of the Welsh FA, said yesterday that Wales will enter the 1954 World Cup tournament in Switzerland if satisfactory arrangements are made, and if England, Scotland, and Ireland also enter.

Of the four home countries, only England competed in the 1950 tournament in Brazil.
The Welsh FA have given 280 guineas to the King George VI. Memorial Fund.
