The Tottenham crowd appreciated the difference in sartorial styles when the trainer of the F.C. Austria ran on to the pitch to treat an injured player in last week’s game. Instead of the usual cap, trousers stuffed into football boots, and a wind-breaker jacket, this was his kit:
* Purple track suit, with his club’s name emblazoned on the blouse, beret, and light-weight boots (studded). He carried a hot water bottle (containing cold water) and a medicine box marked with a prominent red cross.
