Ray Lambert getting married

December 5, 1955
A large crowd attended the wedding this morning at St. Mary’s Parish Church, Bagillt, of Mr. Ray Lambert, member of Liverpool F.C. and a Welsh international, youngest son of Mrs. And the late Mr. Albert Lambert, Premier Stores, Welsh Road, Queen’s Ferry, to Miss Eluned Evans, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Evans, of Hawarden Castle, Bagillt.

Given away by her father, the bride wore a gown of white Italian Chantilly lace, with a full-length veil held in place by a diamante tiara. She carried a bouquet of red carnations. She was attended by Miss Gladys Evans, of Wallasey, and the best man was Mr. R.S. Jones, a friend of the groom.

Other attendants were Miss Maureen Ledsham, and the pageboy was Merfyn Spencer Edwards, cousin of the bride. The Rev. G.T. Walters (vicar) conducted the service, which was fully choral.

The couple are photographed above after the ceremony.
