Liverpool have a friendly match at Brighton this evening, in fulfillment of a promise they made to Southern Section club when signing Alex South three years ago. Although South did not make the requisite number of first-team appearances, prior to his departure, which Liverpool stipulated as a condition of the game, they agreed to send a team to the Goldstone Ground when Brighton asked about the position.
The Liverpool team will be the same as that which defeated Bristol City on Wednesday, except that Alan A’Court will be absent. He plays for the Young England eleven against England at Highbury against England. Liverpool will not decide who takes his place until later.
The players return to London this evening and will watch the FA Cup final to-morrow.
