Liverpool F.C.’s Tommy Younger held a sports quiz under the chairmanship of Michael Charters of the Echo at the Mabel Fletcher Institute, Wavertree Road, last night.
Among the many questions was one about clocks on football grounds. Mr. Younger said he thought they were a good idea.
“You can see your position in relation to the time, consolidate if you are winning and put your defence into attack if you are losing,” he explained.
