Manchester United thrust Phil Chisnall – “the kid from the school around the corner” – into the fury of a 50,000-gate game against Everton at Goodison Park today.
Chisnall, six times, capped by England Schools at centre forward, gets his first game for slumping Manchester United at outside right in place for schoolteacher Warren Bradley.
United manager Matt Busby is not concerned about Chisnall’s reaction to a new position on his first big Soccer assignment.
Busby calmly assesses: “He has the football ability. That is the main thing.”
