Three Liverpool F.C. players are not retained for next season – full back John Molyneux and reserve forwards, Willie Carlin and Pat Kinsella, both local boys. Molyneux, who had only a few first-team games this season, joined Liverpool from Chester in the club’s First Division days. For many seasons he was a regular at right full back.
Transfer fees will be required for him and for Carlin, who has scored consistently in the reserve side this season. Kinsella has a free transfer.
Two other players, Barry Wilkinson and Alan Banks, now figuring in non-League football, are not retained, but fees will be required for both of them.
