Re-enter Kevin Lewis

May 4, 1962
Liverpool manager, Bill Shankly, has a very high regard of the play of Kevin Lewis, whom he has re-introduced into the team to complete the season at Swansea to-morrow. Maybe it is thought that Lewis, much more experienced than Ian Callaghan, might be the best bet for starting the First Division season at outside right. Mr. Shankly was most impressed with Lewis’ play and his goals in the vital match against Southampton.

Liverpool: Jim Furnell, Gerry Byrne, Ronnie Moran, Gordon Milne, Ron Yeats, Tommy Leishman, Kevin Lewis, Ian St. John, Jimmy Melia, Alan A’Court.
