Dundee manager Bob Shankly signed Liverpool’s Scottish goalkeeper Bert Slater for the second time yesterday after final negotiations with brother Bill, who manages the Anfield club.
Bert, a former Under-23 cap was previously signed by Bob Shankly as Falkirk’s keeper when Bob was the manager of the Brockville club in 1953. Slater played a big part in Liverpool’s promotion run last season and was keen to return to Scotland.
His signing brings Dundee’s goalkeeping strength to three. He joins Pat Liney and Alistair Donaldson.
