Two Liverpool supporters were escorted from the Filbert Street ground just before the Leicester v Liverpool game started. During a scuffle, a policeman lost his helmet and left the ground with a bruised face.
A police spokesman said later: “The constable told me he received the injury accidentally while escorting the Liverpool supporters from the ground. There will be no charge.”
Earlier today the goalposts, corner flags and touchlines were daubed with red paint.
