A party of 18 officials and players fly from Manchester Airport on Sunday afternoon on the club holiday to Majorca, which was promised to the players months ago. Chairman Sidney Cecil Reakes heads the party, with co-directors Cecil Hill and Harry Latham.
The three trainer-coaches, Reuben Bennett, Bob Paisley and Joe Fagan, are going with 12 players – Gerry Byrne, Ian Callaghan, Emlyn Hughes, Roger Hunt, Chris Lawler, Tommy Lawrence, Tommy Smith, Ian St. John, Willie Stevenson, Geoff Strong, Peter Thompson and Ron Yeats.
