The final of the Liverpool Senior Cup is revived after a lapse of a few years with the game between Liverpool and Southport at Anfield tonight (7:30 p.m.).
Everton did not enter because of their Cup commitments so Liverpool were given a bye. Southport defeated Tranmere last week in the semi-final.
Liverpool will be fielding their usual reserve side, but it is expected that Southport will be able to play their full League side.
They beat Wigan 5-0 last night to clinch the Northern Floodlit League Cup and will be going all out for their second trophy in 24 hours.
