Liverpool reserve winger Dave Wilson ended a fortnight of transfer talks by signing for his old club, Preston North End, last night. Preston have paid Liverpool £5,000 after receiving £20,000 for him 15 months ago.
Crewe Alexandra and Bury started the moves for Wilson but when Preston moved into the picture a couple of days ago, Wilson decided that a return there would suit him. He had a quick stay at Anfield, never making the first team except for one appearance at Coventry in a testimonial match a year ago.
