There’s a big question mark over the soccer future of former Liverpool player Kevin Lewis, one of the most popular players in South African football.
Lewis, captain and right half of the League leaders Cape Town City, has played in less than half the club’s matches this season.
Now, he may not play again this season because of a troublesome ankle injury.
An X-ray revealed that a joint in his ankle has not knitted. Depending on the report from the specialist an operation may be necessary.
Lewis, a former right winger converted to right half, has been a consistent success in South African first division soccer. Players and supporters alive will wish to see him back in action.
