Liverpool v Crystal Palace 3-0 (League match: April 3, 1970)

April 3, 1970
Key note: “Bobby Graham ended his goal famine last night to send Crystal Palace reeling further towards the Second Division. The Liverpool forward scored twice to push Liverpool to a 3-0 win. Graham had scored only one goal in Liverpool’s previous 15 matches but it took him only 16 minutes last night to end any hopes Palace had of snatching an invaluable point towards their relegation struggle. In fact, it was Graham scoring two, and making the other for full-back Chris Lawler, who was the star of Liverpool’s performance last night. As the third goal crashed into the net after 55 minutes it brought a song of ‘We’re scoring goals again’ from the Kop who have watched Liverpool score infrequently over the last few months.” (Liverpool Echo: April 4, 1970)
