Aston Villa yesterday ended their three-month chase for Alun Evans by signing the Liverpool forward for £70,000.
Evans, Soccer’s first £100,000 teenager when he left Wolves in 1968, takes the Villa bill in the past twelve months tp £310,000.
He told me: “I would not have signed for any other Second Division club. I’m delighted.”
