Alan Hansen, Partick Thistle and Scotland Under-23 defender signed for Liverpool for a fee of around £100,000, yesterday. The 6ft. 1in., 21-year-old Hansen needed little persuading to put his signature to the transfer forms and complete the £100,000 deal that took him from part-time football with Partick Thistle to a new career with the glory hunters. In the last few years he has played himself to the fringe of the Scottish international team.
