Mark Lawrenson transferred to Brighton and Hove Albion

Brighton have paid a club record fee of £100,000* for Preston defender Mark Lawrenson. And chairman Mike Bamber proudly gave the news last night at Heathrow Airport after signing Lawrenson in Benidorm, where Preston have been on holiday.
