Steve Ogrizovic, the 6ft. 4in. former policeman, yesterday became the latest of a long and illustrious line of goalkeeper to leave Chesterfield when he signed for Liverpool in a £70,000 deal.
He follows men like Gordon Banks, Alan Stevenson, Jim Brown and Steve Hardwick from the Saltergate goalkeeping nursery.
Twenty-year-old Ogrizovic, born in England with a Yugoslavian father, could play for either country.
