    Ted Adams enjoyed an extensive Football League career, notably with Wrexham (85 appearances) and Burnley (113). He came close to reaching Division Two with Wrexham in 1932-33, and was ever-present, having come out of retirement, with Burnley during 1937-38. Adams was called upon by Halifax Town for one solitary appearance when Charlie Briggs was called up for wartime services.
