Gerard Houllier is set to keep Robbie Fowler on the bench for today’s Anfield clash with Wimbledon. Fowler made his comeback from a three month ankle injury as a sub at Newcastle on Boxing Day.
But Houllier, not convinced about his match fitness, is likely to keep faith with the Michael Owen – Titi Camara partnership up front.
Liverpool have lost only once in 11 Premiership and cup games and manager Houllier said: “I want a further sign that we’re going forward even without key players. Robbie will definitely be involved.”
Defender Stephane Henchoz returns after a ban while Jamie Carragher is set to go back to midfield with Steven Gerrard at right back.
