There have been conflicting reports about Jock Smith, the Sunderland inside right winger. Stoke and Woolwich Royal Arsenal are both said to have secured him. Not being a bird Smith cannot be in two places at once. He tells me that, as a matter of fact, he has signed for the new Liverpool Club, and will leave Sunderland this week. Though too individualistic to suit me, Smith is one of the cleverest forwards going, and will be a real acquisition to the new club.
