John Miller on sick leave to Dumbarton

December 8, 1893
The Wednesday Committee have granted leave of absence until January 1st, 1894, to John Miller, their centre-forward, who owing mainly to ill-health and the injury he received in the first match of the season, has rarely done justice to himself upon the field since he joined the Olive Grove Club.

Yesterday afternoon Miller left Sheffield for his home at Dumbarton.

There is no desire on the part of either club or player for release from the engagement, and Miller has promised, if specially required, to return even before the date fixed upon.
