Referee robbed


March 10, 1916
During Friday night thieves broke into some offices in Peter-street, Blackburn, and ransacked them. One of the victims was Mr. John Lewis, the well-known referee, whose unique collection of football medals and badges gathered during his forty years’ connection with the game was carried off.
