Tweedale Rigg for Blackburn Rovers

Monday, April 7 – 1919
Blackburn Rovers have signed on another Rochdale player, Tweedale Rigg, the clever half-back. Rigg is about 23 years of age, and prior to joining Rochdale had only played with a team of choir boys. He played for a couple of seasons with the Reserve team, and was promoted to the League eleven in 1915-16, where he speedily found favour. War work took him to Birkenhead, and while there assisted Liverpool in several games.
