Whilst playing billiards, last night, at Bolton, where he had been a publican for the last 21 years, Harry Hammond, the old Sheffield United centre forward, who played for the League against Ireland as far back as 1894, had a fatal seizure.
After leaving Sheffield he played for a time for Leicester Fosse. He was 53 years of age, and had enjoyed good health.
