* Seven minutes later (25 minutes) Pither ran down the wing, and his centre enabled HODGSON to equalise at short range.
* A second equaliser came through DEVLIN’s agency.
* With little more than a minute to go HODGSON’s header from Pither equalised.
** Tommy Lucas missed a penalty for Liverpool with the score 2-3 to West Ham United.
