Newport County yesterday secured the transfer from Liverpool of Norman Low, a reserve centre-half-back. The fee is understood to be one of the highest paid by the Newport Club.
Low who is 22 years of age, stands over 6ft., and weighs 12st., joined Liverpool from a club in the Newcastle area. He will play for Newport against City at Bristol to-day.
