The funeral of George Latham


July 13, 1939
The funeral took place at Llanllwchaiarn Church, Newtown, Montgomeryshire, on Thursday of Captain George Latham, a former trainer of Cardiff City Football Club. The Rev. David James officiated, assisted by the Revs. J.E. Morgan, Lewis Davies and Morgan Richards.

There were present a contingent of the Royal Welch Fusiliers, representatives of the British Legion, members of Newtown Council, officials of Montgomery County Infirmary, representatives of the Newtown and Bear Bowling Clubs, members of the Welsh Football Association, directors and players of Cardiff City, and representatives of Chester and Liverpool Football Clubs.
