John Miller transferred to The Wednesday

June 26, 1893
The Liverpool Club are quietly preparing for next season, and the team, barring centre forward and possibly a full back is complete. John Miller has gone to Sheffield Wednesday, and unless Miller has dropped his price a lot, they must be paying him a heavy sum.

The second string will be composed of local lads, and the professional element to a great extent dropped.

The general meeting of the club has been held, and I am glad to hear that the balance sheet proved to be much better than was anticipated, the adverse balance not being anything like so great as was predicted. The members were highly pleased at the way the directing committee had done their work, every report being unanimously confirmed, and the committee have almost a free hand to go on with.
