Sam Gilligan, the ex-Dundee centre forward, has been transferred by Celtic to Bristol City. Sam is a dashing player, and should do well in the ranks of the Bristol team. He has played regularly in the Celts first eleven this season, Alex Bennett and then Jimmy Quinn displacing him, but Mr. Willie Maley had a favourable impression of the Dundonian, and had the Celtic not been pressed for his transfer the would certainly have retained him.
