Miss Daisy Curwen, of Liverpool, at the Olympic trials at Liverpool lowered the world’s record of 84 3-5 seconds for swimming 100 metres to 83 1-5.
Miss Curwen will in all probability represent England at the Olympic sports at Stockholm.
