It is reported that Arthur Cowell, Albert Walmsley, Johnny Orr and Tom Byrom, professionals of the Blackburn Rovers Club (which decided not to play matches during the war), have consented to play for Burnley during the coming football season.
Most of the other players have agreed to turn out for other clubs, and the question is being frequently asked why, if the Rovers’ players are to play, they cannot appear on their own ground and before their own admirers.
