Within 24 hours of leaving the field at Huddersfield, where his club were heavily defeated on Saturday, Tom Morrison, the right half back of the Liverpool club, was being operated for appendicitis.

He was taken ill shortly after his return to Liverpool, and was rushed on Sunday to a nursing home, where an operation was successfully performed. Last night Morrison was reported to be progressing favourably.
