Matt Busby for Hibernian?

June 25, 1941
Will Jimmy Caskie turn out for Hibs in their return match with Clyde at Shawfield? Some time ago, the Hibernian manager applied to Everton for permission to play the wee winger, but up till now the necessary “grant” has not reached Easter Road, and, of course, they have the last word.

Another Merseyside player, Matt Busby of Liverpool, is also wanted by Hibs, but here the question is one of insurance of the player. English clubs don’t like the idea of their players playing in Scottish football without being insured.
