Misfortune was added to the disappointment of defeat at Derby for Kevin Keegan, the Liverpool F.C. forward, when he returned to Liverpool last night to find his car had been stolen.
Kevin, who has had the car about seven months, left the dark metallic green Ford Capri in the car park of the Crest Motel, on the East Lancashire Road. It was there from 6 p.m. on Sunday until just after midnight on Monday.
“I reckon someone pinched it to go to the match,” said Kevin.
“Unless I get it back soon, a friend is going to have to lend me a car.”
If any one remembers seeing the car, registration No. UKC 950 H, in the motel car park, or happens to spot it now, Kevin would appreciate them getting in touch with the police as soon as possible.
