Alun Evans has become the most expensive player to leave the Football League and join an Australian club. He has been sold by Walsall to Hellas, the South Melbourne club for £10,000.
Evans was English football’s first £100,000 teenager when he left Wolves for Liverpool.
He was listed by Walsall when he failed to agree new terms.
