That Liverpool committee man who so carefully sent his guinea subscription to the Anfield treasurer in penny stamps is well known to the public. But how he felt when, in response to an appeal to come and help the club’s pecuniarum custodian in last Saturday’s gate, the treasurer handed him the identical amount, with the words, “Count this!” maybe be much better imagined than described.
