John McCartney in the news


November 5, 1888
John McCartney, of the Cowlairs, is now convinced that he made a mistake in entering into a newspaper correspondence. Some of his clubmates are not pleased at him for it. The Cowlairs, though are a little downhill at present, are not downhearted. They are a never-say-die lot, and under the guidance of Mr. George Henderson, they will ye come up smiling.
