(ASSOCIATION)
RULES.
I. – That the Club be called the LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB, and shall play under the Rules of the Football Association.
II. – That the EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE shall be elected by the Members, and shall consist of a President, Vice-Presidents, Chairman, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer, and eight other Members.
III. – That the EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE shall have sole control of the ground and finances, power to engage players, arrange fixtures, and have full control of all matters, including the election of Members during its year of office.
IV. – That the Annual Subscription for Members be 7s. 6d., admitting to ground and covered stands during the season except to English Cup Ties, Charity or Benefit Matches.
V. – New Members shall be elected only at Executive Committee meetings, and shall be duly proposed and seconded by two Members of the Executive. Voting to be by ballot.
VI. – Subscribers’ Tickets shall be issued as follows, available during the season, except for all Cup Ties, Charity and Benefit Matches, viz. – Admitting to Ground and Uncovered Stands, 7s. 6d.; to Covered Stand, 15s. and to Reserve Stand, 21s.
VII. – Subscriptions shall be due on the 31st August in each year, and Membership ceases unless the subscription be paid on or before that date.
VIII. – The Executive shall have power to make Bye Laws and decide any point not provided for in these Rules.
IX. – The Annual General Meeting shall be held within one month after the close of the Club’s playing season.
X. – Every Member shall be provided with a copy of these Rules.
BYE-LAWS
I. – Every player, whether amateur or professional, shall appear in proper football costumer, both when practising and engaged in a match on behalf of the Club, and no member will be permitted to practice or play on the ground unless wearing the authorised costume of the Club.
II. – No practice will be permitted under any circumstances on days when matches are played, either before or after the match.
III. – All reasonable commands of the Captain in the field must be promptly obeyed. He shall have power to alter the positions of the players if during the progress of a match he thinks it adviseable to do so.
IV. – The team shall be complete before leaving the dressing room, and must come on the field in a body, led by the Captain, at least 5 minutes before advertised time of kick-off, unless otherwise instructed by the Secretary.
V. – All articles for the use of members, provided for by the Committee, are the property of the Club.
VI. – The Captain shall return the ball to the Store-keeper immediately on the conclusion of the match.
VII. – Players will be provided with an outfit, and they will be held responsible for any loss or damage sustained to it through neglect on their part. Every Player shall look after his football costume, and shall keep it clean and in good repair at his own expense.

NOTE: These rules were decided upon in the first meeting of the new Liverpool club in March 1892. The first ever meeting, was most likely, held on Thursday, March 24, 1892, at the Neptune Hotel in Clayton Square (picture below)
