A big job for William Barclay

March 28, 1892
The name of “Liverpool Association Football Club” has been revived, and this will be the name of the club that will use the Anfield-road ground. Mr William Barclay is the secretary, and Mr Edwin Berry, who played for the old Liverpool club, is chairman. From a circular I have by me I find that the players already secured and those about to be engaged will form a team second to none. That’s good. Glasgow supports lots of first-class teams, and I don’t see why Liverpool cannot. All the same, I think Mr Barclay has a big job on hand.
