A big salary for Andrew Hannah

May 19, 1892
One of the results of the refusal to grant professionalism in Scotland will be, it is said, the departure of several noted Scottish players for the more remunerative South. It is more than whispered that Andrew Hannah, of Renton, is likely to be found amongst the number.

It is said that he has again accepted an appointment in a Liverpool club at the exceptionally handsome terms of £150 down and £5 a week.

Hannah has, perhaps, done more than any of the «old brigade» to recover Renton’s laurels during the past season.
