Jack Proctor, a well-known footballer, who has been playing half-back in the Stoke League team, died yesterday after a week’s illness, from inflammation of the lungs. Proctor, who was 22 years of age, learned his football with the Dresden United, and afterwards played for the Stoke Swifts. He caught a chill whilst playing against Blackburn Rovers at Stoke last Saturday week.
