November 14, 1893
A meeting of the County Palatine League was held at the Saddle Inn, Bolton, yesterday. A proposal to pool all gates was lost, after considerable discussion, and an amendment that home-and-home gates be pooled, and the gross equally divided between the two clubs, was carried.

Liverpool, were appointed members of the Southern Division, to join Bury, Bolton Wanderers, Everton and Newton Heath. It was suggested that another club be found to join Preston North End, Blackburn Rovers, Burnley, and Darwen in the Northern Division. Mr. William Clayton was appointed chairman, and Mr. Richard Molyneux, hon. secretary.
