The health of Nick Ross

December 30, 1893
For a fortnight past Jack Ross (Nick Ross) has been recruiting himself at Blackpool, and everyone will be pleased to hear that he is making capital progress.

He ran over to Preston this afternoon to see his comrades face the Villa, and he is looking a great deal better than ever since his illness. The Blackpool air is working great change in him.

He is busy preparing himself for the fray, and expects that he will be fully ready to face Everton on the 13th prox.

His daily exercises at the seaside include a long walk of about a dozen miles and a spin with some friends who are preparing for a Sheffield handicap.

He can take this exercises without fatigue, a fact which points to his improvement.
