Tuesday, April 17 – 1894
A meeting of the executive committee of the Liverpool and District Association was held last evening at the Neptune Hotel. The chief business of the meeting was to arrange the date and ground for the final Cup tie between Everton and Liverpool. After a lengthy discussion it was warranted to allow the competing clubs to toss for choice of grounds, providing the respective committees agree. (Liverpool Mercury, 18-04-1894)
