The new regulations with respect to the muzzling of dogs in Liverpool come into operation to-day. They provide that a dog shall not be at large in the city unless it is securely muzzled; but one led, or under the control of some person, need not wear a muzzle if it is provided with a collar of such size as to be clearly visible on the dog’s neck, with the name and address of the owner legibly engraved on a plate attached to the collar. This partial relaxation of an order that has been in existence for a considerable period may give satisfaction to owners of the faithful animals.
